FarmHand
Our calling…
Our country needs more farmers. Yet small family farms are closing at near historic rates. Beginning farmers consistently report the biggest barrier to farm ownership is access to affordable land. With recent years being historically difficult for farmers, the pathway to farm business ownership in America seems more unattainable than ever.
So why don’t we use our urban green spaces to foster new farmers? Enter the FarmHand incubator. We provide the best environment for beginning farmer success: 1) on demand access to personalized technical assistance, 2) affordable access to land, equipment, materials, and 3) the responsibility and incentive to run their own farm business under realistic conditions. FarmHand exists to give new farmers a seat at the table.

Our dinners take place on the farm: the most wistful backdrop for a delightful evening. The event starts with a luxurious cocktail hour in which guests can mosey around the farm. Drinks in hand, we take a tour and see firsthand the different techniques used by our farmers. We all sit down are to a three course meal and live music. The cap to the evening is a beautiful bonfire to wind down to.
Are you a farmer?
Our farmers are everything to us. We help aspiring farmers get their businesses off the ground by providing affordable access to land, equipment, and materials. Our incubator farmers rent plots at our Bentonville location located a mile north of the Downtown Square. We also have a tractor, a walk-behind tractor, propagation space, a pack house, and coolers all for our farmers. We provide free mentorship and access to some of the best markets in northwest Arkansas. We require one year of previous farming experience.
